stated he was from HSBC complaints department and wanted me to give details before he could continue with conversation "for verification". I refused as I don't bank with HSBC anymore and i didn't trust this foreigner. He advised me to access telephone banking or check with my local branch I've heard of these scams before an have no intention of doing either if they want to contact me they can write a letter.

I rang my Bank after the call, they said there was no record on my file a call was made from HSBC, my Bank said infuture ask the guy to put a note on my file the reason of the call, then phone the Bank to ask about this!

Introducing themselves as HSBC (Call centre) reported by


My account is in England but the caller is Indian, in all respects. Including their communication style in that they didn’t engage me in a manner that fills me with confidence. I’ve been scammed by Indian callers (from India). And they have continued to harass me so if this is genuinely HSBC then I’m disappointed that my personal details are sitting somewhere in India.

After repeatedly asking my name, she asked how I was today. It wasn't too clear why she was ringing but sensed it was telemarketing, and told her it was inconvenient. The call me from UK to my Norwegian nr. Didn't like it, so have blocked the number.
