HSBC bank (Financial services) reported by

Having received 3 of these calls from this number in the last 24hrs- which I haven’t answered. I rang my bank to check if it was them calling, and it wasn’t. Conclusion- this is a scam call. Don’t give any information and always check with your bank on their verified number for reassurance.

HSBC bank user

Had this number today as miss call 03456032775. It said answer mechine HSBC but no need to call back. I've been in contact with HSBC since early Dec 2020 that my card expires on Dec 31st and no card has arrived. Told new one be sent out but no card after boxing day. Called again and online. Go round in circles with them. On 29th called and online. Nearly 2hrs on phone to find that the bloke doesn't order the new card to my address until I said at the end of call for 2hrs have you done it. His reply was oh I've just looked and it be with you in two days. I ended up drawing money out on 30th and 31st but really not good known the lock down kicked in again. Had message on 3rd Jan saying 4 working days it arrive in bank. Today I get that call so I contacted HSBC. Same again, go round in circles but told its going to take 5 to 6 working days. When i raised about the text message and number the person from HSBC said we not sent any messages out because its not arrived. Durr I know that but its my I'd that might be used for other things but they are not interested. Two cards and message and number and not interested. Now just had message saying card at bank. Our money and banking in safe hands. I'm moving out of this banking

Claimed to be from HSBC (Scam call) reported by

Claimed to be from HSBC but didn't have my name or my partner's name correct. Didn't ask any security questions. Didn't ask for any details of our account, just vaguely asked if we were happy with online banking then rang off. Weird.

Pretending to be HSBC, don't give out your details (Scam call) reported by

Had a phone call from what sounded like a call center, do not give them your details. Hang up and call HSBC directly if you are unsure.

SCAM CALL (Financial services) reported by

Called claiming to be from HSBC, asked me to confirm my personal details as they had a query on my account. Told them I don't give details out to numbers who call me. She tried to say 'everything is ok' and 'not to worry.' Called HSBC back on main line, they had no record of the call or note on the system. WARNING

Fake HSBC call (Scam call) reported by

Received this call today from a chap with a heavy Indian accent. He asked for my postcode and date of birth and said he was calling from HSBC. I called the branch myself and they have no record of the call and said there is no reason for them to contact me. It's Christmas Eve too!

Balance Transfer (Financial services) reported by

I didn't answer the number, as not recognised. However they left a voicemail stating they were HSBC, and to call back (on a different number). After looking it up here, I decided to call, intent on giving no more info than a bank would ask for... ie home postcode/date of birth. Obviously a call centre in India, but it turned out they were genuine, and just running a fraud check as I'd arranged a balance transfer from another card.

Fake HSBC (Scam call) reported by

Had a missed call and voicemail from this number, asking me to call back. Phoned the number on the back on my bank card instead and was told call was a scam as there were no notes on my account and HSBC never ask a customer to call them back.

This number is a scam i just telephoned my bank and they said it is a scam don't ever give them your details, the bank said if someone from the bank called me it shows up on their system straight away, just remember " your money your info i don't think so " and hang up.

NoName

Received a call on the mobile from this number 03456032775. They left a VERY LOW QUALITY message claiming to be about life insurance - but the relayed number for the call was 01226300092. They wanted me to call them back on 03457456125. I would say this is dangerous, when did HSBC start spoofing their own numbers.

HSBC Bank (Financial services) reported by

Had a call from this number. Didn't answer as a precaution but had a voicemail saying it was from HSBC and that I should call them back. Called the main HSBC number instead: 03457 404 404, they confirmed it was HSBC trying to get in contact with me.
