BL**dy telemarketers. Don't answer unless you want to be swamped. I always used to feel they were just doing a job but since I cannot get rid of them I just want them to go away. Maybe report to your MP each time might help.

Have been getting numerous calls from 'unavailable' numbers despite being on TPS. You only hear the message if you say 'hello' otherwise it's just dead. I got this lying message about solar panels so pressed 2 for them to ring back and hey! presto! a call from this number 02031988100 so now I can report it. Shame no-one spoke or I could have tried to get the company name which the chocolate fireguard needs!

Probably calling in the name of BT, for sure some call centre - few similar numbers called me last week. No idea who is behind, I don't answer unknown numbers and they left no message. I was trying to dig some info on the internet, don't want to call them back until I know who might be calling but no luck. Some idea who is it really?

I have a BT8500 phone which requires unknown callers to give their name and press the # key (before the call gets put through), which they failed to do. Rang it out of curiosity and at end of dialling there was a long pause, before I got number not recognised. I have a strong suspicion that some of these call centres are capable of fixing their calling number going out so it can appear to be local to you, rather than appear as withheld or international.
