couple of calls each week, then delightful exchange 30/10/15: caller "hello my name is john, how are you?" me "yes?". Repeated twice until sudden outburst "I ask same question three time, you have a problem? Bugger off!" And he rang off! Result!!!

The number that comes up with this call doesn't exist. It isn't London, there are too many numbers. Persistent callers but no response. If you can block do so but either don't talk to them, pretend you died or make up information.

Confirm your name and address then what sort of TV do you have said. I said I do not entertain survey calls they hung up. Clearly just wanting to sell on your details Another call from someone outside of the U.K. It's time our government did something about these people

Received call from Asian chap, who told me he was calling from Nationwide building society and proceeded to say you had a mortgage with them and reeled off my address and postcode - rumbled as the banks dont call in this manner and told him that he wasn't from Nationwide and then hung up

I received a call from this number at about 8.30 am today (Sat 10 October 2015) The call woke me up but I did not answer, thinking it was probably yet another "PPI" call. They rang again just after 9 am, a foreign sounding man asking to speak to a Mrs "Carlton" or some such name. Told him no-one of that name lived here, which is true - then he said something along the lines of he had this number for a Mr and Mrs Whatever the name was. Told him again no-one of that name lived here - he apologised and rang off. I tried to ring the number a couple of hours later, put 141 first to hide my own number, but there was a recorded message saying the number didn't exist!! I am now very suspicious, especially after reading the above comments as I am also a Nationwide customer!!

I had this phone call today asking me about a mortgage I said I had had one years and years ago and he hung up .all he got was my address and postcode

Same type of caller today. An Asian guy mentioned my postcode,name and an old mortgage with Nationwide. He didn't get any further. I assume it was a scam caller or a nuisance anyway

Received call at 0800 Asian man demanding to know if I was the name on his list and my post code. Thought I would play along so I told him that was a rude way to start a conversation and he had to say either Hello or Good Morning first! After a pause he said "Good Morning are you (name) and what is your post code" I advised him that he needed to improve his training and the next thing after Good Morning was to say who he was! He hung up straight away. I love winding them up!

Twice today before 9.00am this number rang. Asian man asking me to validate who I was, name address etc. I told him it was not his business but he asked if I used a credit card! I accused him of being a cold caller and he went silent. Phone down!

Had a ghastly call from this crazy lady: all she said was 'hello?' repeatedly.. God willing, lightning will strike her point of communication a.s.a.p., sending her swiftly into the telecommunication afterlife.

I have received several calls from this number, including an Asian gentleman who made rude sexual remarks towards me - when I asked to speak to his manager, he stated he was the manager. I advised him he can't speak to customers like this and his response was "I can do whatever the f**k I like". I have then received several calls where I pick up the phone and the line goes dead. DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR.

Just received a call from the said number. I didnt say anything & just left them listening to my local radio station that I was listening to at the time. 2 minutes later the phone had gone dead. If I catch them or anyone else again then I will do exactly the same again!

they know our address, and today they said "I understand that some time ago you had a mortgage"! So we put the phone down. Two days ago the same number called, but was a silent call - nobody answered our "Hello"

Same number has just phoned me. Nobody spoke so put phone down and blocked number. Surely these calls should be looked into. I suffer from severe anxiety and these types of calls do nothing to help!!

I had a call from this number today and They asked for me by name then they said they were from the nationwide and wanted to confirm I had had mortgage I said to put any request in writing and he told me this was a very old fashioned way and he then hung up.

I had similar call claiming to be from Nationwide. As soon as I said that I would call them back, the caller hung up. Even with genuine calls from known organisations, I say I will call back. I then phone a different number to check if the original call came from one of their numbers. If it is they either put me through or reassure me. Security is important to them, so they don't mind people being cautious.

This number seems to be used for a classical telemarketing, or it is a directly some general call centre. They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. I don't answer unknown numbers and they left no message. Have missed calls from them on my mobile, was trying to dig some info on the internet before calling them back, but found nothing, no luck - just similar numbers (only two last digits different, so it is very likely the range of numbers used by the same call centre). People pls did someone answer this number, who is it?
