Claimed to be calling on behalf of the Telephone Preference service. they wanted to know my full name, telephone Number and address, When I asked her for some details about the TPS (which I'm already singed up for) They became defensive and said they where not THAT Telephone Preference Service, but a DIFFERENT one! A better one... Clearly a scam for personal details.

Bit odd this one, have recently moved, had this number less than 2 months, constantly being rung by these aggressive, clearly non english call staff, who always ask if I'm Laura Johnson, whoever she may be. I say no they then demand to know to who they are speaking!! I refuse to give them any info & as others have written, they then get snotty with me!! I have TPS, I tell them not to ring, waste my time, bla bla. I'm being messed about by BT with my caller display, which is meant to be set up, but isn't. So am now going to send them a short sharp email, to get it sorted, as at least if I list the number in my phone & it comes up I can just ignore it. But such a pain having a recycled number, which is meant to be new & listed as ex-directory, ha ha, joke! Horrible aggressive company, with idiots cold calling!!

horrible vermin who can't even speak proper english, asking me to log onto my computer while they fix it for me? How dumb do they think people are. played along for a bit, then tired of him and told him what he's doing is illegal, I know its a scam, stop the bulls*it etc. Put the phone down on this cockroach in the end before I lost my rag and told him to go and f*ck himself when he said go and switch on your computer or else!

I thought this was a scam so hung up but they kept ringing me back. They said computer was running slow and they would fix it. I asked what company they were from and they said BT but they didn't ask any information to check who I was. I spoke to them for a bit but felt very uneasy so said I had to go out. They kept ringing the phone and letting it ring for ages. It's a scam.

Claimed to be Global Tech Ltd - said my computer was giving off error messages when on-line. They want to dial onto your computer to "fix" the problem. SCAM call. They rang off when I continually queried them.

Scam call for 'Windows' problem. Kept him on the phone for over 11 minutes while I did something else. Very difficult to sort a computer problem out when computer in one room and phone in another! He gave up in the end and hung up on me.

Just had this number call. Reading the previous comments here, this is the well-known “Microsoft-here-you-have-a virus-on-your-computer-let-us-remove-it-for-you”. If you let them hook up your computer to theirs by remote control, say bye-bye to your bank account, etc. They're scammers pure and simple, but clever with it. The fact is, the errors they show you deep in your computer system are normal and temporary and absolutely nothing to worry about. Also, picking up the phone to scammers is the worst thing you can do, as it confirms to the other end yours is a proper phone number which will now be sold on to every piece of scum in the known universe. This explains any silent treatment at the other end. Let the phone ring until the other end gets fed up and ends the call, then dial 1471 and note down the number. Google it to see what scum has tried to get you to allow them to waste your time and stress you out to boot. In my own case a good 95% and more calls are in this category. One day I’m going to live in a world where all such useless lowlifes are sent to a remote planet in outer space and quarantined there.

I kept the indian sounding chap on the phone for ages, he asked me @ my pc and said they were from Microsoft, I asked numerous questions @ registered office address, operating license number, area, what security is best,etc,etc. he hung up, cost them more than it did me.

Called twice today, telling me that I or someone on my number had had a car accident in the last two years. Asian accent, very poor English, difficult to understand, rude and persistent. I asked him the name of the person who he was looking for (no-one here has had a car accident), he hung up.

they called me saying they were sky and were offering me unlimited international calls for free. obviously isnt them as sky have a bunch of set questions they ask including password. someone is going to fall for it and end up with a huge bill. i rang sky to report the call and they said they will deal with it ASAP

Well the person that called me used two different numbers the other was 02032397550 but hey bet he is hard of hearing a whistle down the phone normally does that. If he didn't get the message the first time I am sure his partner in crime got it the second. What are they going to do report you for trying to scam you lol. They are nothing but low life scum that really need to get a real job and leave people in peace.

Man with strong Asian accent called today, saying it was about a car accident I'd recently had. Told him I'd not had one, and he said it might have been someone else in my family. Told him we'd not had any accidents. Told him we subscribed to TPS, asked where he'd got out number from, and he hung up.

No, and stop "cold calling" - this number is registered under the Telephone Preference Service, therefore you are in breach of UK Law. The caller said he would put our number on the opt-out list, and put the phone down. How could he put our number on an opt-out list, these companies generate the numbers to phone, if you pick up the phone, and secondly my number is witheld on all outgoing calls.

Had a call today from 02031 988103 - Think I annoyed the scum bucket cold caller. Every time he asked me a question I just simply answered "YES" (clocked this on Youtube - works every time. After about one minute he called me a stupid mother f**ker and hung up. Nice boy!! - I think he's got the 'Big man down the phone syndrome' Always nice to annoy the annoyers. -
