They had my name, knew i had an account with Nationwide, said there was an issue with my card. I said ok, how can i help u? She said we can start with her taking my long card number. I said, its in my purse, out in the car, sure ill ring u back with the number (im joking!) she was hesitant, i said, u know wot, id rather deal with these sorts of things face to face, ill call into my branch instead, cos its funny how i lodged a cheque yesterday & nothing was highlighted about my account. But ill take it from here, you have an awesome day now trying to scam poor folks bank details ye tramp & hung up... needless to say, contacted my bank via official number, nothing wrong with my account!! They assured me they wud never ask for account number or card number, they wud only ask for certain digits of a password ive set up..

Called to remind me that I hadn't paid my credit card bill. I was quite rude as I thought it was a scam, but the woman was very polite and patient. Now I'd better go and pay my bill!

Ask for my details nationwide credit card. So I told them I call them back. after calling nationwide credit card on 08000 55 66 11 confirm my account is all ok. Nationwide confirm none of their departments have called me today. Dodgy

Seems to be some call centre calling in the name of Nationwide bank, but can't confirm if genuine or not, people did someone answer it?

yes it is Nationwide Building Society, usually call when you have missed credit card or loan payments.

claimed to be from nationwide card servises asked who? young woman said 'from the bank' when told that the nationwide was a mutualised building society it went quiet then, you can call us back scammers, hang up
