These guys nearly got me last year, they call out of hours and somehow spoof the NatWest number. They’ll say there’s fraudulent activity then get you to give over details and transfer to a new account, IF ITS REALLY NATWEST THEN HANG UP AND CALL THE OFFICIAL LINE

Fraudsters spoof the phone numbers that customers use to call Natwest. Natwest calls will always appear as "private number". Their published phone numbers that you can call them on are in-coming only calls so genuine calls cannot appear from them. Source: Natwest Fraud team, who I called to confirm.

I rang Natwest and they confirmed there were no notes on the system they were trying to get in touch. I have blocked this number even though the Natwest number.

Received calls from the actual Natwest number it has been cloned (Financial services) reported by


I received a number of calls. Answered I spoke to someone from the security team who were notifying me of a transaction I didn’t make. They confirmed my account number and sort code. So it seemed legitimate. I got asked to confirm digits of my passcode, which I did. I got blocked out of my app. I was asked to confirm how much was in the account which I couldn’t. The man the said Natwest can apply another level of security to my account, where I would get a text every time a transaction took place outside of the city that I live in and that he had to speak to his manager to confirm this. Then hung up. I got a text message saying that a new payee had been set up in my account and all my money I. That account was stolen
