the number is used to contact the NatWest Bank fraud dept., the number can be spoofed, if someone using this number calls you and is displayed on your phone politely advise the person you will call back on a number your trust then you should disconnect the call and ring a number from the NatWest bank website or alternatively the number on the back of your card :)

Third call from these scammers in as many weeks. This one with a text sent before call with code number. Text came through displaying a legitimate Natwest 0345 number. Trying to find out how much in my accounts and if have any savings, overdraft limit etc. Told them to F*** off. No display number when the call came in so no chance to block the calls.

Called me yesterday and today I picked up, told me a DD had been set up in Birmingham and had I done this. Said no answering any questions. Called NatWest and they confirmed it as a scam DONT ANSWER TO THIS NUMBER!!!!

Calling from a different nmber first saying Bank of Scotland so i block the number and rght away someone with this number call saying is from natwest, automatically block them and they continue calling several times from same number. I checked my back acc and had a deliveroo purchase waiting to be approved. So ii block my card. Dont trust, call your bank directly.

Fake scam call pretending to be from NatWest. Was very convincing, and wanted me to pass over the 6 digit number from the text message they send.... would have emptied my account of £1,500. Ughhhh. So glad I didn't. BE VERY CAREFUL. After I said it wasn't from NatWest, he called me back on NatWest's number!? So be very careful!!!!

Caller pretended to be from Natwest's fraud team, this is the third call of this nature I've received. Don't engage, hang up and call Natwest yourself if you have any suspicions, but they'll typically have some scheme in place to transfer your money from your account into another where they can access it. They're overly polite, Natwest reps don't end every sentence with ma'am or sir, so that's a surefire tell that they're not for real imo!
