This was British Gas homecare calling to arrange a boiler service. But after confirming my name he told me they had no dates available to do the service... I checked and it was British Gas homecare, but still a useless and annoying call.

As the number was no readily identified, the call was not answered. However, referring to this web site, it can be confirmed that it was British Gas calling, regarding the servicing of the boiler. A Voice message was left, with contact details which further verifies the legitimacy and genuine reason for the call.

When I had a phone put in 4 years back, was given someone elses old no. Had endless spam calls asking for them so now I put phone down as soon as their name comes up. But think this was BG - they have rung before and been told to sort their database. 10 calls in 5 minutes just now. Blocked. Don't even have gas.

I was called by the service department of my British Gas Homecare division to ask me about the forthcoming visit, regarding the problems that I had. The operator was very pleasant throughout the call and was able to understand what my boiler problem was, a bit better than I could describe in words. He also enquired about any COVID-19 restrictions, I advised him that as I work in a care home I am tested 3 times a week and each time I have shown negative.
