Said he was phoning from Microsoft technical support department and that there was a problem with my computer that needed to be fixed and that he could help me fix it. A typical scam phone call. He wanted me to log onto a website which would have given him control of my computer and he would have ransomed me to get my computer operational again. KEEP WELL AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS.

They suggest they are from Microsoft and concerned about your PC being hacked (oh the irony), provide some convincing info about your PC ID number etc etc and take you to the E. V. - he told me there should be nothing in there and that the 1400 entries were all hackers effort on my computer and they should be removed. Popped him at arms length and told him to call back tomorrow, at which point he will 'resolve' my issues .... ..... erm NO, I'm going to have lots and lots of fun with Peter on 02036300338

I have had same phone call from P. but sad to say I believed him and let him change my network ID. I didn't pay anything and said he must call next back when I have some funds. Oh joy... now my computer is at risk and so is my identity.

Persistent and stressful (Scam call) reported by


Very upsetting and stressful. Foreign woman didn't give name when asked. Repeatedly told her I do not have a computer, never had one, they welcome to come and check. She persistent 'my Windows laptop at my address. I asked her for address she had, was correct. I do not have connection for a computer. I asked for her company name and phone no I was given Windows Technology, 100 Victoria St, London and there phone no 02036300338. Having googled from my mobile phone, found this website to send a very distressing message. Received calls from them before approx monthly chose to ignore, but this time wanted them to delete my address, eventually through crackling line I put phone down. Please acknowledge this email with what line of enquiry will be.
