Called once before trying to sell insurance for my appliances as I ordered a new dishwasher from ao how they knew that I don’t know told them I wasn’t interested ended the call and a week after that call they have called me non stop for the past two weeks blocked that number for them to call off a different number!

An illiterate sounding cold call from "Domestic & General" (Telemarketer) reported by


An illiterate sounding cold call from "Domestic & General" trying to coerce me into taking out more insurance on all my household products. Couple of minor flaws in the conversation. Firstly they picked an appliance I bought from Argos a few years ago but couldn't name the appliance. Secondly they thought they were clever by knowing my house number and said they couldn't give more data than the door number, which was wrong. When I pointed that out they hung up instantly. If this was Domestic & General, please use people that sound educated to some degree and know how to be polite. If this was a scam call, it will work better with more professional sounding people do the scamming.

Domestic And General for registering warranty on new appliances, normally triggered when you have a delivery from curry's to cover break downs etc. covers boilers, tv, washing machines ovens etc.have 2 policies with them, so this number is genuine and quite often used to register extended manufacturer's warranty for parts and these guys cover the labour
