Called. Claimed to be Nationwide bereavement team. Then asked me to tell her my address and other information. If what she had to say was important surely she wouldn't have been so mysterious.

Genuine Nationwide number but when I called them about the 4 missed calls they said that they had not tried to call me and nothing was wrong with my accounts etc. If in doubt please ring them back on another number like their 0345 one

Nationwide fraud team calling to make sure I wasn't being scammed out of a large sum of money. A transfer I have made to a legitimate person was put on hold. The phonecall was to confirm I wasn't being scammed so that they could release the payment. They confirmed details of the transaction no bank details included (No one else would have known this).

Legitimate number for NATIONWIDE UK (Financial services) reported by Maizie
I had called nationwide to report a lost card. I was taken through security fully and cancelled my card successfully as far as I know, although I haven't been able to check this as I don't currently have access to the banking app. During the call, while I was on hold, the call disconnected, for an unknown reason. This 0800 number is the number that called me back and it was the same guy I had just spoken to when I called them minutes before so I feel secure in confirming that it is a genuine Nationwide UK number
