I just had a call from this number but with the prefix +44. The UK number for NatWest Fraud may be genuine but surely the fact that it was prefixed with +44 and the fact that I've never had an account with them in my life should urge people to be cautious about answering or giving out information. No message left and no text received

This number called my husband twice during the day then left a message to call back which I did. They ask to verify your birth year which they obviously know, then your birth date, no asking for account numbers or PINs. The machine then asked if I recognised various recent payments made on my card, in my case they were all legit and you have to press 1 if you recognise them as payments you have actually made, which I did. It's all ok, I'm glad they were looking out for my financial security.
