Heavily accented Indian man tried to offer me a discount on my O2 phone (I'm not with O2). I asked whereabots he was based and he said London, so I asked where and he said Bath Road, Holborn. So then I asked which tube line that was on, and he said "Tube Line 3". What an ****. I laughed like a drain and pointed out that there is no Tube Line 3 in London. He then said "thanks for wasting my time." and hung up. Glad to have spent more of their time so they can scam fewer people.

Caller said they were from o2, and they could offer me an iphone 13/ Samsung whatever is the latest model. I declined saying that I already have an iphone 13 and then they tried to say they could reduce my payments up to 50%. which is funny because my response was I pay near to nothing. They then persisted to say I should receive a text message, alas I did receive it but I played dumb. I live in the middle of nowhere and my signal can only handle one thing at a time, this being the phone call. They said they would call me back in 10min, which then I love google. I googled the number, and look what I found a "Scam caller" thank you all who have posted about this number. When they called back I politely told them I looked the number up and infact were not o2, poor darling love was like "oh" *hung up*... what a lovely day to deal with scams <3

Rang and came up as O2, accepted the call as I have just left them. Started by saying my last payment didn't go through and they would like to get it sorted. Told him there shouldn't of been an issue, waited for him to 'get my account up' but asked if I recently changed my bank or card details etc. As soon as I mentioned my contract has finished he closed the call.

Said I am entitled to 50% discount on my contract and send me a text with one time code, ask me to give to him but the text clearly says not to give to anyone even to o2 staff, so I I form the person that I will confirm his information with o2, he got really angry so I hung up.

Told me my number had been selected because of covid for a discount on my o2 bill. I’m not with o2, haven’t been for two years. When I pointed that out he asked what network I was with. ‘Not o2’. Then started spouting on about new phones, I told him I have a new phone. I then asked him to remove me from the database and hung up. He then phoned me back! I again told him what he was doing was illegal and to remove my details from his database.

CAUTION: Indian national, pretending to be from O2 based in Sheffield, advised me he will send two text messages to enable me to change password and claim my 50% discount "because of covid..." Numpty!

Just had the official 02 phone number call but it wasn't them. These scammers have obviously spoofed 02's number. Called to tell me, my number is special & because of Covid 19, they are offering 50% off customer's contract. They then sent 2 texts, first one was a one time security code & the second was, the code. All I had to do was give this one time code to them and they could apply the discount. After asking for her to confirm my details, she wouldn't and then put someone else on the phone. I was then told to "go die" after not falling for her scam. Strong Indian accents. Phoned 02 & they advised it was a scam 100%.Scary really when it's from an official 02 number but their attitude gave it away

Second time I got a call like this. Caller was polite, introducing himself as from O2. I asked him why he was calling; he said O2 was offering me some sort of package or benefit on my contract due to COVID. I told him I knew it was a scam because my network is NOT O2. He hung up on me immediately.

Same as everyone else has reported, offered a 30% discount off my bill. To receive discount would need to give them a code number which they would send through to my phone, code came through I hung up at this point. Called back twice I didn't answer and blocked numbers. Called through on numbers 01282336024 and 03448090202.
