Caller said he was conducting a survey. I asked how ot woul dbenefit me to participate and the reply was along the lines of "cheaper bills". I said that if I participated, my details would be passed on the companies to then ring me and try and sell me their goods. At this point the person put the phone down - RUDE BOY !

on answering this call , got a long high pitched 'number unobtainable' sound . Seems I was lucky not to be met with the same obnoxious abuse some other people on here have. The reply below from Verso Grievance Cell - Household Savers Club (Survey) 14/04/2016 does not have the feel of a company horrified , as they should be , at the comments made by their call centre staff .

Rang saying form microsoft and asked me to log onto computer. I asked them to email me to confirm who they where and I would contact microsoft, he replied that I knew nothing about computers, I was a silly old lady, and told me to shut up!!! He rang 4 times within 10 minutes

Received call from "Household Savers Club" at 12.51 today asking for me by name. I asked them what they wanted, and the spiel started. I stopped them and asked where they obtained my number. Clearly he did not like being interrupted and just giggled and said "Your local police station". I asked why. He replied "Because you're a criminal" and hung up. I have rung back and complained to their customer services but was fobbed off with "sorry, we will look into it..."

Caller - very heavily accented, said they were from Microsoft needing to fix my computer demanded I logged on now. When I asked where did they get my number from they hung up ! Cant block as they called my mobile.

Seems to be some London call center, I can see more similar numbers (all the same range - 020815075xx, just last 2 or 3 digits different) reported here already with National viewpoint survey. No idea who is behind it, they left no message, no VM. I really don't answer unknown numbers, tried to dig some info about this number first on internet, but no luck so far. People did someone answer it?

It's Household Traders Club, whoever they are. I called them, option 2 allows you to remove your number from their database (I told them they'd been calling an office number which they had).
