An Asian lady called me saying she was from Paypal & asked me to verify who I was with my email address etc. I was suspicious so asked her why she was calling. She said she couldn't say unless I gave her my details. I refused. She told me to check my messages in my Paypal account. I hung up & did so. There was no message or explanation & nothing untoward with my account. Maybe some kid of scam, but if this was genuine, Paypal really needs to sort itself out!

Genuine phone call from Paypal Credit. I'd forgotten a payment, so they were calling to check I wasn't having any financial difficulties. They asked me to verify my email address as a security measure at the beginning of the call, but they already knew my exact credit balance and the amount due and I received a notification from my Paypal app immediately after saying that my payment was set up and sorted. PS. The lady I spoke to was really lovely! :)

Paypal don't ring out of the blue when nothing is wrong with the account, they contact you in email format. Received a call from this number which just by the length of time before the operator spoke suggests it's a random dialer from india. They didn'#t get my name right and wanted my email address (which i wasn't prepared to give) and so I politely told them to P***off.

They will Claim to be PayPal and ask I to confirm your email, with this in hand they will tell they will send you One time PIN number . The scanner are using your email and the pin u read to them to access your account! Once they are logged your account, they will read back your information to you and finally convince you they are PayPal, from this time on they got your trust and they will end up convincing you to give more information till they can access your money . I felt for it once !

Phoned me on my mobile. Said they were PayPal and asked me to confirm my email, which I stupidly did. The line went dead. I rang PayPal through the app. They said it wasn't them and to change my password and security questions.

They gave my name and said they were from PayPal Credit. Then proceeded to ask for my email for identification but I refused. The kind lady then asked me to hang up and call PayPal Credit directly, which I did, and they then confirmed it was a legitimate call.

Asked if I was… said yes. Asked me for email address linked to PayPal. Told him, he replied it wasn’t asked if I had another email address gave him that. Apparently was also not correct. So I hung up.

Having read other comment on here I thought this was a scam but I assure you this number is genuinely PayPal credit. Irish lady called regarding a payment that did not go through and said i could pay by card. I checked this by calling PayPal Credit on the number given on their website and they confirmed it was a genine call.

Irish woman called me said shes from paypal. Asked me to confirm my email address. I refused as it was a cold call and she wouldnt tell me a reason for her calling. She told me to contact paypal myself as it was important. I rang paypal customer services from the number on PayPal website. THEY HAD NOT CALLED ME. Either paypal dosnt know what thet are doing or it is a SCAM.

So not PayPal. Dirty robbing C*NTS. Nope, Jay, Wessex, Alex and SIA User are scammers trying to turn the tide. Block these clowns. PayPal would not phone you out of the blue. Overdue payment notifications are automated and you would receive an email (clue: PayPal is internet-based!).
