I was very suspicious having had several missed calls. I was surprised that I hadn't been told to expect such a call as far as I know. Said I wouldn't be asked any personal information and I wasn't. Glad to find this site afterwards.

Wow there are some paranoid freaks on here. Better safe than sorry I guess, Lloyds now send you a text message to warn you to expect the call. They were following up on my complaint and had enough information to satisfy me entirely they were calling from Lloyds Group.

Caller asked for confirmation of name of person she was calling. She refused to say which organisation she was representing. When asked whether it was on behalf of a specific bank (who might have reason to call), she refused to say, and would discontinue the conversation unless I answered her question reading me. The unprecedented behaviour was clearly suspicious, and though novel, seemed a novel method of phishing, but without evidence. When asked to email me what her call was about, she agree and I rang off. On reflection and having searched the number I conclude that the call WAS both fraudulent and conducted illegally, AND very likely prompted by intercepting transmission of a complaint to a bank. The timing seemed more than a coincidence and I shall discuss the matter with the bank concerned to alert them. Thank you for your notes on this number, which appears to have followed illegal activity on a bank's questionnaire to find victims. A new one on me!
