I phoned back and a recorded voice, no identification, just asked for 16 digit card number. I can't see any legitimate institution acting in this manner.

Called on my landline. Auto message stated was from Royal Bank of Scotland and to press any key to receive my one time password. I went no further. I do not bank with RBS or NatWest. The call was not personalised to me or anyones name. NatWest/RBS do not send OTPs to landlines.
