Fake call from Santander (Scam call) reported by


Called me 4 times which I missed then called me a 5th time an hour later. Told me there where 3 fraudulent transactions on my account listed them all. The first was apparently 35 minutes before. When I asked why they had called me an hour before (which would have been 25 minutes before the first fraudulent transaction) he hung up.

It’s FRAUD. They rang me 6 times in 30 seconds because I wouldn’t answer the phone. They was reassuring and seemed real for a few minutes. Then they wanted me to transfer all my phone into some account to ‘protect me’. SCAM. Block this number immediately, low life degenerates.

I missed the call and had an answer phone message to ring Santander on this number. As a precaution I rang the number on the back of my debit card instead and they confirmed the call was genuine. However if you're ever in doubt just ring the published number - they won't mind

This MAY be ok, but was given as a direct line to Santander Fraud Department, but isn't the same as another number which has been identified as correct. Just not very sure about this number. Could just be another route to the same department.

Also given as Santander Fraud number in an answer phone message. I called and asked to verify they were Santander. I was directed to call the number on the rear of my Debit Card. Doing this I was redirected to current Santander number and after verifying details Santander told me they had no security issues or concerns and were not aware of contacting me? Be wary it may be OK? But it may not?
