Yes this is genuine. Natwest contacted me on this number which I declined and rang them back on their main fraud reporting number where they advised me of several attempts to draw money from my account. My card had been skimmed at a cash machine and was then being used to make online purchases.

It's not a scam number and it is legit. NatWest saw fraudulent activity regarding a bank card. Hung up and rung the number at the back of the card and then Problem got solved. It was NatWest calling.

My experience & advice is exactly the same as Diane's... had the automated phone call about fraud activity, but hung up & phoned the bank direct in case it was a scam. Fraudulent activity had occurred two days running, and Natwest had been suspicious off the transactions and declined the money tranfer. Again, please do take it seriously, but phone the bank direct... better to be safe and make the call.

Recorded message stating that fraudulent activity had occurred on my account. Didn't use the number to phone back in case it was a scam as stated on this site. I used a telephone number printed on recent communication from my bank and found out that it was not a scam but indeed my bank informing me that fraudulent activity had occurred. I would highly recommend that you take this call seriously but please protect yourself by always using a telephone number taken from any communication from your bank
