I just had the same phone call, saying it was Jo from Lloyds bank, asking me how we are getting on regarding lockdown and were we able to get all the things we need. I thought banks didn't phone their customers ?

Since my last post on here about the call we received from Lloyds bank asking after our wellbeing regarding lockdown........I JUST CONTACTED LLOYS BANK AND THE CALLS ARE GENUINE. THEY ARE FROM LOCAL BRANCHES, concerned that some of their customers may not have received information etc. due to the disruption / delay of postal services due to the virus problems. A member of my family works for the bank too, so I am now double confident that it's okay.

This is definitely a scam, I cotacted Lloyds bank and gave the gentleman the number. He checked and told me this was none of Lloyds numbers and to not answer any following calls from them!

SCAM! Called saying he was from Lloyd’s bank, calling about Mortgage advise and would like to make an appointment. Could have sounded legit, well spoken, gave his name and town in which I live (but do not bank there). Have been warned of scams like this by Lloyd’s. Lloyd’s have told me they would never cold call in this way. Be very wary. The reviews on other sites imply scammers have been leaving positive comments to make the number seem legitimate. Makes me so angry... low lifes!!
