Had a call from this number. After an attempt to do a “security check”, the person on the line started to frighten me with £4K transactions which I did today and they need to clarify it. Then dropped the call when I did not believed them.

It was an unexpected call from someone claiming to be from HSBC. I do have an account with them and went along with the call at first but got suspicious. Hung up, they tried to call me back multiple times, but I decided to call the number on the back of my card instead. The agent who picked up confirmed that the call was very likely a scam call. Do not share any details with them!

Scammers (bloke with Scottish accent, named himself as Damien West :) called from this number after my bank and card details were leaked few days ago. Were saying I had suspicious transactions from my account from the card I blocked several day ago almost immediately when the leak occur (they did not know the card was blocked though). Were luring me into "identity confirmation" (presumably by giving them even more details about my account). However they did not do identity check in the beginning of the call, but straight away tried me into panic mode revealing there were lots of suspicious transactions, which they allegedly "blocked" (which there were none in reality).

I received a text message 2 days ago from 44444 claiming it was a security alert regarding my HSBC account. Today I received the same message from 55555, and this time they sent me a slightly different link, obviously it's stupidly fake. And I don't even have an hsbc account. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER.

Same here - this is a scam. Call the HSBC fraud department directly, and you won't be able to get the people who are speaking to you.
