Follow up call from Barclaycard from when I rang them earlier in the week. Genuine but I have read the reports of spoof calls that look like they are from this number but are ****. So until I recognised the guy I had spoken to previously I played it safe.

Received a call from this number which was a woman claiming to be from my local branch. She wanted to double check that she was speaking to myself so checked some lose security details. The phone call was just to see how I am coping during covid. After receiving the call I doubled checked that it had been legit by calling Barclays customer services and reporting the number and relaying the convo. I had it confirmed that it was them, and they were just checking in. I left some feedback about not asking for security details unless i wanted to discuss anything on my account.

I got a voicemail from a caller who appeared to use a number that I subsequently confirmed on the Barclays site to be correct, that is, she spoofed it. She claimed to be from the said bank and knew my name. She said that if I needed anything I should call her back on 0734-173-49xxwhich is a mobile number and not recognised by Barclays.

I received a telephone call from a lady Apparently from a local branch wanting to talk to me, the phone line wasn’t clear and she spoke with an accent. I told her that I am not willing to discuss anything with her as Barclays never ring us and I ended the call. She told me to google the number to check it’s a Barclays number and if you put the number directly into Barclays own website number check, it does not recognise that number!!

Had a very odd call - Lady called claiming to be doing a courtesy call for barclays. No name, just said she was from my local barclays branch (didn't clarify which), got my name wrong and then just asked about online banking. I think she gave up with me as I wasn't being too responsive. Spoke to barclays and they confirmed that this sounded like a scam call.

Lady called, gave me a name and said she is from Barclays. She asked me to confirm my date of birth which I didn't. When I asked what this is about she said it is just a courtesy call, whatever that means. Very strange to call you out of the blue and ask for personal details for a courtesy call. The whole situation makes no sense.

Spoke to Baarclays and was advised that this is one of their numbers, however it is also possible that someone has 'spoofed' it so not to reveal any personal information.
