British Gas, Gas & Electricity, British Gas attempted to call me to offer a discount. I did not answer as it was flagged as a scam, but called back and there was a message saying to go to the website. No reason to think it's a scammer.

I have recently left British Gas for a better energy deal so given the information already provided, I suspect it was them. I have received a text message from them yesterday suggesting they could possibly save me money on my energy and if I was interested, to click the link in the message. I'm reluctant to do this given the number of scams that are about. This does seem legitimate so unfair to list as a scam call.

A guy called asked to speak to me by my full name, said hhe was from British Gas and wanted to discuss my energy supplier change, he then asked me to confirm my full postcode. I caught him by surprice when I questioned him if he was actually calling from British Gas as I couldn't recognise this number and immediately he hang off the phone. This was 100% SCAMcall.

I see that others have mentioned British Gas. I have just transferred from them, so it is possible that it was them, or someone employed by them, trying the old "what can we do to persuade you to stay" routine. But, as the main reason I was moving was their lousy customer service, it wouldn't surprise me that they'd ring me and then leave me listenimng to music. So, whether it's BG or not is irrelevant, it's still a nuisance call.

British gas call asking you to stop, they have just rung me and managed to save me 200quid if they did that in first place I wouldn't have changed

This number is BRITISH GAS... I switched Energy provider they wanted to see if there was any issues and if they could offer a similar deal. Those people posting negative reviews and saying it's scam etc are not helping people who want to know what this number is. Daft reviewers posting confusing and false reviews.

Just switched from British Gas, this number called and actually left a message on my mobile. Basically a marketing call, I would assume they want to offer some inducement to stay but I can't confirm that.

British woman asking for my postcode and already had my email address and saying I was in dept of so much amount and asking to change tariff and wanting to book a smart meter reading at my house. Didn’t sound professional at all but just worries now

Apparently British Gas, Female British accent, asked me to confirm my post code, I said if they were British Gas she could tell me what my direct debit was, anyone can confirm postcode by ask8ng the post office. She said she couldn’t discuss it until I confirmed postcode. I said I would not continue with the phone call and hung up.
