2 texts 1, barclays other from 65053. Followed by phonecall from 0333 number. Checked via barclays northampton +44 160 452 9410, they confirmed it was a fraud check. would'nt comfirm untill they had my details though. Strange that they say will never contact in these way on thier website. Will be watch account like a hawk for a while.

Had a text then a miss call, saying that it's barclays fraud investigation. Had a text from my bank saying Genuine organisations will never call you, to say what answers you should send for these fraud checks. If you've had such a call, it might be a scam. Your Barclays Team

My wife received two texts claiming that someone had tried to use her card to withdraw cash. The card was destroyed a year ago and after talking to the real Barclays Fraud Department the assumption is that a website my wife had used some time ago had been hacked and the details sold on illegally.
