Logged into update meter reading and then got a call, not sure if they monitor who logs in and then decides to call them. Was called 2 weeks earlier about having a smart meter and refused, they just don't seem to get the message.

Called claiming to be from Scottish Power regarding fitting a smart meter. Told him that I wasn't interested. Called after 7pm which is illegal and called again 8 days later... scammers don't take hints. Scottish Power or not they do not have my number to use for this purpose or in this manner. It's a scam and they should be shut down immediately.

Dishonest installation company (Telemarketer) reported by


They make constant phone calls trying to bully a vulnerable person into making appointments. They illegally imply that a smart meter must be installed and be fitted by them. They always make calls before 9.a.m. which is strictly illegal. They then keep calling throughout the day, day after day. They are also ignoring the Telephone preference service, which is strictly illegal. Scottish Power are complicit with this companies illegality, and refuse to take appropriate action.

I'm not a Scottish Power customer, never have been (and, thanks to this nuisance, never will be) so I don't know how they got my rarely used phone number. This is on a second smartphone which I use very occasionally for a particular purpose. Whenever I switch it on, there is a queue of calls from 03330164779 as voicemails from Scottish Power asking me to install a smart meter. I've already got a smart meter supplied by my power supplier, which I have used for at least 10 years as the are ecofriendly and good communicators.
