After a bit of sleuthing I've found out that his number belongs to Verso Group, a telemarketing company. You can request to have your number removed from their database via [email protected] or by calling their customer complaints team on 01582 763 090.

This outfit is now ringing the landline daily. My answerphone kicks in. No message left but you can hear people talking in the background as if in a call centre. I didn't phone them back but had checked who had called using the 1471 service. The golden rule is this people - if you do not recognise the number calling, do not answer. If it is someone you know or it is that important, people would leave a message. Beat these persistent pests by ignoring them! Have a good day.

I have just rung this number back and I got through to someone who will remove your number from their data base .. It's option 2 He did tell me that my number wasn't called. So I told him to look again and remove it as I dnt like being rang 3times in a hour and no one talking

Called to say there was a Microsoft problem with my computer which would leave it open to hacking. When I asked him to confirm my IP address he got a bit annoyed! Eventually told me the police could come round and i could be given a £5000 fine !!

This number has called on numerous occasions. Sometimes I hear just a clunk and the phone goes dead, others someone says hello in a foreign accent then phone goes dead and many times its just silent. Waste of time and energy.
