Trying to talk to you about cryptocurrency investments - likely trying to get you to invest, relying on the fact that you probably don't know much about it. Refused to give the company name or how they got my name/number. Reported to ICO as a scam caller using https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/nuisance-calls-and-messages/spam-texts-and-nuisance-calls/ - you should also do the same.

It was a London number so I answered and a woman with a strong Indian accent addressed me by my first name. She wanted to talk to me about online investments. I politely told her I wasn't interested and asked if she could please remove my details from their database. She became very rude and said "no I won't remove you, I'm busy at work. I'm going to call you again and again". She then hung up and I blocked the number.

Called me, London number but the caller wasn’t based in London. Said I’d registered interested in online trading via a subscription, i said I hadn’t. She got increasingly rude, telling me to go back and check because it’s not her problem I’ve forgotten. That she’ll keep calling me. Wouldn’t remove my name or number from their contact list. I asked for where I’d apparently subscribed and she couldn’t tell me. I asked for the company name, she wouldn’t tell me. Kept saying “yeah ok Darling” and laughing at me. Told me I had negative energy. Insisted she would speak to me again soon, obviously the number has been blocked now! Rudest scam caller I’ve spoken to. No doubt trying to trick me into investing in crypto currency.

They had my details - I asked how they got them, they said "you subscribe to one of our services". This is false as I don't do online trading. They tried to persuade me further by telling me more things about myself. I asked them to delete all the information they hold on me, they hung up.

Woman called from what sounded like an Indian call centre (the call came up on my mobile as Fedex?!). She knew my name and said that I'd subscribed to their website (which I haven't), wanting to talk to me about on-line trading and Bitcoin. I told her I wasn't interested and asked to be removed from their list, to which she started getting aggressive and talking over me. If I'd had time I would have had fun winding her up :) but instead I put the phone down.

I had the exact same. Asked if I wanted to knew about online financial markets. I asked how they got my details and to remove them and they got angry. Clearly some scam and also sounded indian. Wouldn't give me any company name etc. Dodgey as hell

I done exactly the same and this is exactly the same what the woman said to me, online markets. I said I'm not interested thanks and hung up. Woman sounded kinda like a robot with a accent, possibly some form of voice changer, very strange.

Have called twice - I have terminated the call twice. Woman claimed it was an ‘affirmative’ call and that we had already discussed online investments - totally untrue. The same number has called my husband innumerable times but he ignores the call.

They would not identify themselves, their company, or how they got my information, instead trying generic script-based answers to avoid the question. Called. Asked for company name Insisted that I had "searched for the them". I have not. Asked for their company name again. They refused. Started threatening to bombard me with phone calls. Asked for the company name and their name to report them to the TPS. Threatened me again. Absolutely shocking.

Answered the phone and they asked me to confirm my name was **** which was a name I haven't used for over 3 years. I confirmed and they said they would like to go through online markets and I said I'm not interested thank you to which she said well why did you subscribe and I said I haven't and she said you must have otherwise I would not be calling you so I said what have I supposedly subscribed to and she couldn't tell me. She said the business was SLSL 1st Service Ltd which I said I've never heard of and she said you must have done to subscribe and I said so you're basically saying I'm lying. In the end I asked to speak to her manager and she said you don't need to speak to my manager you're speaking to me and then I mentioned the director's name from companies house and she didn't know who that was. She said you're wasting my time are you interested in it or not and I said no how many times do I have to say. She said how would I get your details and I said why would I subscribe to something in my name I haven't used for over 3 years and then told her they've obviously been sold call lists to ring bothering people who aren't interested and she got a bit agitated at that and said why would we buy your details

I had the exact same experience just now. When I asked how they got my details the women on the phone mentioned that it was on their database. When I then asked to be removed from their database she just sighed and hung up!
