Robocall claiming to be from HMRC and I had committed a crime and my house was being watched. What tosh. Hung up. I'm worldly enough to know this is a scam but there are some people out there who'd be genuinely frightened by this. I don't know how these people live with themselves.

ive been trying to call the number back all morning but it just goes to voicemail .. i was naturally very concerned and wanted to deal with immediatly - due to lack of response - i did a search on the numberand saw all these people reporting the same problem. absolutely awful way of scamming and fearing people

Claimed to be from HMRC. Said I was being prosecuted for tax evasion and fraud and my house under surveillance. Considering I’ve been PAYE all my life, I knew it was a scam. Typed in number and an HMRC website comes up but can’t be real. Had my name but wrong address. Called me back. Very bad line.
