call with an Indian accent, man, maintaining it was for research only on behalt of Forbes magazine, but unwilling to say what the research was about. Something like European Union, Forbes, Research, etc but nothing specific. Had to hang up to terminate. called a line in Switzerland that was marked as cold calls unwanted (legally binding).

I live in the Netherlands and received a call today on my business number, guessing they got it from the KVK. Tried to ask personal questions if my savings were effected by the financial crisis, if I use a financial advisor for investments and how old I am. Sounded really suss so ended the call.

Same here. They call me monthly to just listen to my voice or my voicemail if I don't answer the phone, and after a few seconds they hang up without leaving a message!

Same here, I'm in the Netherlands and got a call from them too, good thing I never pick up foreign calls anyway. I'm registered in the KvK too, so they might indeed be getting it from there.

Some very unclear survey she wanted to ask questions about, but instead of leading in with what it would be about she just wanted to ask the questions. After telling 4-5 times I wasn't interested I just hung up, since she didn't give up.

Its a scam, they use generator to get numbers (so the dont have to worry about certain database laws) and call you with all the info they can find on google with your phone number. Most of the time they only know like your surname. Do not engage with them they want more personale information so they can skam the living hell out of you. dont give them any info, its scary what they can find with only a number imagne wat they can do if you give them more info.
