I went into Carphone Warehouse to enquire about a phone for my wife. I unwittingly gave my contact details and have now had to block their calls. The calls still register on my phone and I have had 46 calls in 8 days.

Carphone Warehouse trying to sell me a contract. Told them not due for upgrade yet but didn't listen. Tried again telling me he can get me a new contract. Just told him I'll visit a store when I'm due an upgrade. Polite but pushy. If you hold your ground they stop calling.

I checked my upgrade status via 4g-upgrades.com, but then went to carphone warehouse who informed me they prematurely tell you you're due for an upgrade, just to sell you the more expensive contracts. In the week after checking via the website, I received 26 calls from this number (seriously, I counted!). I haven't answered any of the calls as I am instead waiting until my upgrade is actually due - looking at the comments here, I'm glad I haven't! Have tried blocking the number as the number of calls is getting ridiculous...

I got 4 phone calls from this number today, twice were silent when i answered and they hung up, then they claim that they are carphone warehouse and the store got my upgraded contrast wrong yesterday ( we do got a upgrade contract yesterday in the store. And surprisingly they knew all my details, like where I live and what phone I got from yesterday), he gave me a lower price like 16.99 and asked me for my bank details and I believed that no one will ever give out their bank details on phone so I said I don't understand what he said.

Went to carephone warehouse on saturday but didn't go with them, but stupidly gave them my phone number, since then have had 3 to 4 phone calls each day. Trying to get it blocked. They will not be getting my account.

I have had a call on the hour, every hour since 2 pm today from these. They hang up when I answer. When I rang back (with ding my number) , I got what sounded like someone walking down an echoey corridor. I did go to Car phone Warehouse recently so it could well be them as they wanted my mobile number. They have just lost a potential customer.

When to Carphone Warehouse yesterday and they said they needed my details. However when the transaction failed they suggested I went back the following day. When I asked whether they would hold my details they said no. I've had 5 calls from this number so far and 1 email!! Won't be buying anything there.

Me too! I went into Curry's (Mile End, London) over the weekend to look at getting a new mobile and was helped by a really helpful girl who was working on the Carphone Warehouse stand, anyway to get a quote she said I had to give my details and today alone I've already received 4 calls to my mobile which I answer and it goes dead! What is this nonsense service??? or way of trying to get you to enter into an agreement???

Rings for 2-3 seconds before hanging up so I cannot answer. Answered in time, usually rings at around 11 o clock so I was ready and a foreign voice said hello. I hung up.

For over 2 weeks, this number has been calling my mobile phone, several times a day. They do not leave any messages. Pointless and irritating! This kind of behaviour should be banned - if it's a sales call, they should get the hint. They aren't going to encourage new/more custome by being a phone pest!

Again similar number from mobile operator - landline from London, Talk Talk on the other end, offering better tarifs for my mobile... Not interested, nuisance call for me. This can be also a general call centre with offer of another mobile operator...
