Scam to get personal data (Scam call) reported by


got contacted twice in a day by the same number re my insurance policy - first time I was cut off before I got to talk to an agent; second time I was put through an agent which claimed she was calling on behalf my insurance company and informed me i was eligeble for an insurance discount; all i had to do is to start doing the verification process starting with my personal information. I interupted her and asked her what is my insurance agent name ( ai I alreagy got my yearly statement the month before and I know I am not eligeble for any further discount)- she didn't know the name of my insurance company! I close the call and blocked the number

so.... they called, i played along, and then they asked for personal details and family details etc... very rude and not happy at all when told that what they're doing isn't right and that they should probably stop fairly swiftly, the phrase 'nothing to lose, and everything to gain' was thrown around an awfull lot, with no real substance would advise not picking up the phone, unless you fancy a laugh, but they're rude and rather .

Unknown Insurance Parasite (Unsolicited call) reported by


This call followed an earlier automated call from 07868 4682973 which made its announcement before I had the chance to listen and hung up on me before I had figured out what the purpose of the call was for. Later this number called and the caller informed me that they were from the 'Review Department'. When asked what company they represented, they replied that they were the Review Department for all insurers. I was not offered a product or service because at that point I immediately hung up. At a guess this organisation are parasite marketing based on insurance company policy data which has either been purchased or misappropriated. In any event to gain knowledge of private insurance policy details it is likely that a breach of the data protection act has occurred at some point and I will be contacting my insurer to find out why my details have been compromised.

Katie told me she was from the Review Department to review and update my life insurance policy. When I asked the department of what company she informed me that the company was called the Review Department. Their script is to try and make it sound like they are from your current insurer - therefore I would avoid like the plague as it is a confidence trick!

Asked for the details of my life insurance policy and they said they were calling from the department. I said what company x3 and that I didn't have my details to hand. The lady was rude and unhelpful. I then had a man call me and I asked more and he explained they get numbers from insurance companies and try to research for cheaper insurance (which normally I would be interested in) but found it was a phishing call and they pester you so block this number!!!!

He told me that he could get me cheaper insurance than I was paying out now and asked me to confirm how much I paid and to whom. I said you told me you could out price them so if you know that then you tell me who my insurers are and how much I pay. He asked me to confirm my personal details and when I refused he told me to have a good day and hung up

Called to say that my existing policy was due for renewal and they could provide a cheaper solution. They asked be to confirm my personal details. I asked them to tell me who my existing policy is with and they couldn't tell me.
