Fed up constant calls number comes from various UK and abroad. I have repeatedly said to take me off list. Any ideas??

They will not remove you from their list. It's not in their interest. If you have caller ID then block the number, if you don't or you can't see the number then just accept that there is an entire industry of scammers out there who will call you. The most common one I get is a call from "viewpoint" telling me that they're not selling anything. They're always Indian. They'll ask a bunch of questions but the key ones buried in there are confirmation or your name and address. If you go through it to the end, they'll be very polite and hang up. Shortly afterwards, that day, maybe the next you'll get the real call. Your details will have been verified and the windows computer scammer call comes in from India. They're all the same crooks. They'll get you to run a system config, they'll tell you your computer is full of viruses and they'll try to flog you a package to protect you for £250. I like to go along with the call until they give me the menu of options then i'll confirm that i'd like a chicken jalfrezi. They'll usually dissolve into an angry rant at that stage using every expletive they've learnt from watching too much US TV. Have fun.

UK viewpoint or verso group call me every single week for months and i am sick of it they are some sort of direct marketing company that try and solicit your information for god knows what purposes. I repeatedly tell them to take my number off their system they ask for the wrong person at the wrong address and keep explaining that they have the wrong details but they keep trying to get my real information growing tired of their nuisance now.

I was inundated by calls from Verso for several months. The callers who were mostly Indian or Oriental would always introduce themselves with English sounding names (obviously not their real ones!) and ask me to answer some questions for "UK LIfestyle", "Lifestyle UK", "UK Consumer" or something similar. I would always decline but the calls kept coming. Eventually I rang their head office, made an official complaint and now thankfully the calls have stopped. What concerns me however is that these cowboys are operating under the guise of a market research organisation (the Market Research Society incidentally have never heard of them) and so are acting if not illegally then at least under false pretences, since they exist purely to obtain as much information from respondents as possible which they then sell on to third parties for their own profit.

Verso Group. Mr 'Eric' called reading obviously from script as when I asked to repeat name followed with, I will ask you only one question and will never bother you again. After his 2nd question about to approach the third I promptly reminded him of his initial statement. Asking politely Not to call me Again I hung up. Under a minute later Miss 'Rosie' phones me on the same number reeling off the exact same words. At least one call every day for 3 weeks. One, at 8.20pm, woke my children aged 2, 3 and 6. When I told the man (who claimed to be called "Bob") he laughed and hung up. Then he called back 2 minutes later to ask me why I had shouted?! I have asked them repeatedly to leave me alone, I have sworn, shouted and remained silent but nothing works. Have reported to OFCOM.....

this company never gives up. received 4 calls today from this number (or slight variations thereof) and I decided in the end to take some details. Apparently the company is called Verso and they are conducting a 'National Viewpoint', some kind of survey. When I asked where they were based and made it obvious I was writing all this down, the caller - 'Eric' - hung up...

After i sign up for some deals while check-In over airline counter. They said I can save $1000au on accommodation while travel over sea;being cheap ASIAN PICKIN CHEAP DEALS I SIGN UP. Because I missed an open seminar today I've been receiving non stop phone calls from this number. Within that 3hrs Ive got 5 missed calls, not including my bf he's gotten 7+ calls made. They so persistence- even tho we don't pick up bc they will jus give&sell us another promotional deals while on holiday(so they say) Never sign up for anything now-when it's too good to b true don't do it!!

I have had calls from these people before. This time it was a woman called Samantha who sounded Asian. She asked for me by name and when I asked who was calling she said the company Verso and then went on to say she was doing a 1 minute survey. She then told me I have a lovely telephone voice and I should take this as a compliment from her (how thick do they think we are?!) I asked who the company was and what do they do. She said they are a group of companies in lots of a different industries but she is not selling anything so I shouldn't worry and the survey would take one minute. She then had my address details and asked me to confirm these were my address details. I told her I would not confirm any personal details until she told me what she wanted and she immediately hung up. I have now blocked the number on my phone but no doubt they will use another one - these people are so annoying!

I agree with the coments from scam call. these people keep calling when im at work, home anywhere. havnt they anything better to do than harrass people.Cant even understand what is being said half the time.So far i have been polite my patience is wearing thin. I thank scam caller for the phone number for verso head office. I shall be giving them a call!!!

call from this number - found name verso on this site, have had a previous call from them, looked up their uk number and phoned head office who promised to remove me from the database - we will see. the UK headquarters of Verso is 01582763090 based in Harpenden. Give them a call - they might find it a nuisance!

I was going to suggest the same thing. I'm at my wits end with the lovely people who ring me 4 times a day. They aren't even asking for me. I wouldn't mind but I don't even know my own home number so how do they know mine??
