Claimed in automated messaged from HMRC (Heather Grey) that action will be taken against me for urgent issues with my taxes. Amazingly they, of course, couldn't know who would answer the phone but it was my taxes. Very menacing call for the unwary.

A rather aggressive recording telling me to immediately contact H. G. about tax debt suggesting 'the police will be kicking in my door to arrest me before the day is out'. A bit OTT even for our overworked tax inspectors, God bless their little cotton socks.

received 2 calls from same number requiring urgent call back due to over payment and will be arrested if no call back. this is a scam so do not call back as they request Tesco voucher payments.

Call centre reported by NotHadAnAccident
Words along the lines of "I am calling from a UK government Department about an accident you had."! We get information from the NHS to help you claim compensation. The caller eventually gave me the number 020 3129 1431 to call him back. He called my TPS registered landline from 0203 289 0000.
