I had Tried to get a loan. Company on this number called and said I had been approved for 1500. They claimed to be a company called amaze loans and on their website they trade under the Gopher money loans company. I had to pay 100 upfront as a guarantor deposit, they then said I had to pay £175 transfer fees but I would get it all back with my loan. I paid it and waited then they called me and Said they couldn't transfer coz of my credit score and the FCA would require me to pay £250 to clear my credit. I called the FCA and they said they wouldn't ask for this and put me in touch with the real Gopher money loan company director who said he had no record of me and that they're company has been cloned by an Indian call centre. Ive lost £275

Sorry to hear that. I was contacted by the same company but in this case they were under the name of 'Loans Finance'. I too was told that I was to pay a guarantor deposit as I didn't have someone to act as a guarantor on my behalf. After rushing around tirelessly to get the money for the deposit I called them back but the number was no longer working. So I decided to google the number. My heart almost sank when I saw the word 'scam'. I felt like an idiot. Worst thing was that I had already bought a paysafe PIN number which is what they needed for payment. I have applied for a refund with the Paysafe company but this takes 11 days to process and had put me in financial difficulty until then. My advice is to stick up the high street or highly credible and recognised companies when deing with loans. Don't let the desperation of needing a loan blind you as it did me. Do your research.
