Had a call from a lady called Jo who was EXTREMELY RUDE! She asked for my company director by first name, when asked where she was calling from she said Warrington (hand on face). When asked what the call was regarding she said it was private. When she was told I would need more info before i'm able to put her through, she asked me if I knew what private meant! I told her I did thank you, did she understand what I meant when I said I wouldn't put the call through?? She then proceeded to call me rude and said that she would ring my Director on his mobile - Good Luck finding that Jo! My director then called her back to question her rudeness toward me and she neglected to answer to the call. When she did eventually answer the call and he outed her, she pretended she wasn't Jo. Merry Christmas Jo, maybe its time to look for a new career path in the new year! All the best.

exactly the same thing happened to me today - word for word - no one would believe me if I said that I had received such a call but it is recorded on our system and like you I would not back down - thanks for posting. She will get nowhere fast with that attitude. What is the point of such a call I wonder? All the best to you too

Jo from warrington called asked for director by first name only, when told I did not know anyone of that name asked for him by full name, asked why refused to say, but made it sound like she was a personal friend, when pushed for details hung up.

Rang our solcicitors practice asked for the director, when asked where she was calling from she said 'Warrington' i asked if it was in relation to a file she said yes, and the directors name! - I explained that if she would give me breif details i could get him to return her call and she rudely said no i will call him back and hung up. All the comments on here are the same. Jo is a nightmare!

Asked for one of our directors by name (names freely available on Company house, so I never automatically put through). I said they weren't available on this number, could I take a note of what it's regarding (with the intention to put them through if I thought it important enough to warrent it). To which they responded, "no, bye now." and put the phone down.

'Jo' from warrington rang wanting to speak with the director (who she knew the name of) when I asked what the call was regarding she said its private, I said I would need a bit more info than that if she wanted to get through, she asked me if I was aware what the word private meant! I explained yes I did thank you. She said, is he there then so I said no & she replied with, 'thanks for your unhelpfulness, that was all you had to say' & she hung up!! Rude person. If she ever rings again she will get equal measures of rudeness back to her!! Have taken note of the number just in case!

Very rude on the phone, when I asked for information on what the call is regarding (which is the job of a Gatekeeper)she became incredibly rude and tried to insult me. Refused to provide any information on what the call was about and therefore she could not be put through. Jo needs to realise that the best and easiest way to get what you want from a stranger is to ask nicely.
