I have just had a call from this number, on answering it there was a recorded message to say this is an important official message from HMRC about a law suit. Pressed "1" and had short conversation with someone. He gave me a Postcode (not mine). I said it wasn't mine. He then rang off. Annoying!

This is the second time today I have been advised that HMRC is taking out a lawsuit against me, but the phone numbers are different. Very strange since they have just given me a tax rebate. I hope no elderly people are targeted.

If HMRC want to take me to court, I wish they would call from correct tax office and send me a summons. I'm sure a few home truths about the tax office would come out in court.

I have just had a call from this number, on answering it there was a recorded message to say this is an important official message from HMRC about a law suit, then a voice came on the line and asked me if I was aa Mrs Littlefield, (which I am no) so I told them no she doesnt live here anymore, to which he replied oh im sorry to have troubled you and put the phone down. the thing is I keep getting calls for a Mrs Littlechild so I think I have been given a number by my telephone provider that used to be someone elses :-(

Just got a call from this number a few minutes ago. Same as Brian and Lisa. Have now blocked the number, but the message is in a very official sounding voice and will surely trap some vulnerable people into pressing 1. Dangerous scam.

As with Lisa, a call stating HMRC are about file a case against me (my tax affairs are in order) and press 1 immediately to speak to my case advisor. I suspect that will be a premium rate call.
