Scam Fraud HMRC (Scam call) reported by Tired Carer
Friday 17th August 2018 A recorded message said HMRC is taking legal action against you. Press 1 to speak to case office. Pressed 1 and an Indian sounding man said I had not made a tax return and HMRC would be taking action. Then he asked for my name. Challenged him that he should know it. He kept on asking. Told him to put it in writing twice. He disconnected. I am sure HMRC do not operate like this.

The automated message said that they were HMRC and had been trying to contact me, as they were taking action against me and to press 1 to speak to my case handler. I did not press 1, as I know that HMRC are not taking action against me. If this was a genuine call, when I enter the number into google it would bring identify HMRC

Call stated that it was from HMRC and that there is a County Court Judgement against us Press 1 to be connected. Call terminated at that point by us. Telephone number 01618503xxx
