claiming to be HMRC and to inform me that a law suit is proceedin (Scam call) reported by A Greenwish
Might be a "racist type remark" but was greeted by an African type accent asking me for my details. Then he guessed wrongly my name as Caroline at which point I sid he should no better as my details were on his records.

Claiming to be HMRC informing me of a law suit . SCAM , SCAM . (Scam call) reported by Robert
Had a phone call at 17.41hrs. from 01618503593 claiming to be HMRC and to inform me that a law suit is proceeding against me . I was given the option to press 1 and speak to the case officer . I did not answer the phone or respond to the short recorded message but did inform HMRC ( [email protected] ) by email to see if anything can be done . Checking the phone number on the internet , I have found out that many others have had similar calls . Surely this bogus number can be shut down !

Auto message claiming to be HMRC about to take court action, press 1 for details. No chance! If I'm contacted by HMRC, I want them to ask for me by name and give me some details I can check on first. DO NOT press 1 when asked, it will likely connect you to someone who will give you a fake story about how much you owe and request payment. SCAM - hang up immediately.

Scam.....Implies that HMRC has taken out legal action against you (Robocall) reported by Dave
the most dangerous type of scam asks you to press 1 to talk to somebody. They will most likely ask for money. Beware!
