02 Harrasment call (Intelling 3rd Party Marketing) (Nuisance call) reported by


This is a 3rd party company who is outsourced by 02. 02 provided them with details of current and former customers to up sell contracts. However the 3rd party company (Intelling) has very little information and come across as scammers as they ask for information that 02 would already know. They are highly aggressive and rude, despite repeating myself 4 times asking them to remove my number from their system and to stop calling - the lady I was speaking to refused to listen and attempted to continue with her 'script'. In the end I asked her if she had heard my request to remove me from their system. When she said "Yes" I replied: "Then do that, and hang up now please, or I shall be reporting the matter to Ofcom" She did, and that was the last I heard from them.

This number and many others texts my son's phone to say he's missed calls from them, but the phone is right here and it hasn't rung, so this is obviously some kind of scam. It gives a number to ring to stop the "O2 Call Alert" service, but it's not a genuine O2 number. (No, I haven't rung it.)

I have been called from this number several times during the past week. I understand they are a debt collecting agency who have bought bad debt from another agency for a fraction of the original debt in the hope that they can get something from it. The annoying thing is that I don't have any debt, and I have never had any bad debt. I NEVER answer their calls, so they are just wasting their time. I hope that's all they ever do.
