Got a call out of the blue from this 0800 number. I'm a bank customer and chose not to go through the security questions so hung up politely.

A man from Santander phoned me twice from this number on 2 December 2023, asking me how I used my account as I only make a few transactions a year. The bank then followed up with an email asking me to upload documents to confirm what I had told them . 100% legit.

Santander confirmed this is not a number they would call you from or ask to be called back on. ALWAYS call the bank back on a legitimate number if someone claims they are a bank. IGNORE the positive reviews, they are most likely from scammers. Look at the repetition of names.

This was a legit call back from the Santander Fraud Department. My account had been blocked when I was using the banking app and had transfered a larger than normal sum of money. I spoke to Stuart who was the same person I spoke to when I called the customer service line. I was honestly so worried as he made the payment with me online, but my payment went through successfully and didn't end up in a Nigerian bank account :) I froze my card after as I was slighly panicked reading a few neagtive reviews but all looks ok!
