Spoke to a lady there who claimed to be natwest. Asked for my address to confirm information but the call then cut out. immediately called Natwest who said there was no notes of the call on their system. Block this number if it calls you.

It's RBS/Natwest/Mint Credit Card Collections (Financial services) reported by


I was dubious about this so I checked it out by generating a 'Natwest-like' card number (correct BIN range, 16 digits inc. LUHN check... guess who used to work for a Card Services IT company?), and got through to Jodi who explained what the number is. I explained that it sounded like a scam and she said she'd pass on my comments about the automated answering system not mentioning the group name. Also, that rather than contacting the 0800 number directly, the card-holder should call the number on the back of the card instead.

I've just contacted Nat West bank regarding this number... DO NOT ANSWER... this is not a Nat West number... They are scammers building up a personal information database on you for the purpose of possibly clearing out you credit cards... Don't say you weren't warned...
