Received this call after having some debit card transactions declined. I did not answer but searched the number and returned the call. The only information I was asked for was DOB from multiple choice. I was then read some recent declined transactions and asked to confirm that I had attempted them. Card is now working.

I made a booboo online with my card and Ulster Bank were on it immediately. they locked out my card and the call is to unlock it. I didnt answer as i didnt recognize the UK number (I am in Ireland) so they sent an SMS asking were these last three transactions on my card done by me. it was an auto-sms to which you just send them an Y/N answer. that unlocked my card

When I answered this call it was an automated message. I was wary of any unsolicited calls relating to my bank account so I went to my nearest branch. They confirmed that there was a hold on my card, so the call seems like it was legitimate.

Got the same call today, preceded by a text appearing as from 'Ulster Bank'. Automated voice seemed to know my name and surname initial, but this number doesn't seem to belong to UB (fraud team's number is different and this doesn't appear on their website).
