random number, could be anything, let's go with 0123465798 for the sake of it. Even if a genuine number, you cannot trust any inbound calls nowadays. Companies should be hammered for doing this (even legitimate ones) as they are effectively validating the scams. Totally pointless behaviour.

AA breakdown, NOT as am call, I had my credit card changed this year due to unconnected activity. When the genuine AA could not renew my membership automatically they tried to contact me legally! Yes by a salesperson on several occasions but not a scam. Of course scammers can copy numbers to seem to be genuine but in my case it was genuine.

UPDATE: I have now given you a negative rating over my initial neutral one. You constantly call. You never used to so what's changed? We shouldn't have to accept a phone call or call you to ask to be removed from the call list! STOP CALLING! They shouldn't be calling if you haven't got a current/previous policy unless you're on the open register or you have given details to other parties who sell on your information. I've used them in the past so that's likely why they're calling me

If you want to contact the AA, look up their number. NEVER call a random number back when it has called you. This is a scam caller.

This is the problem though isn't it AA.. it might be you, but if it is you're perpetuating the problem... we can't tell if it's you or not. You are making the scams work through this behaviour.
