I'm a blunt person so didn't rise to any of the incorrect information given to me. It ended in him being very rude and aggressive to me on the phone. I laughed at him and told him that this phone call was costing them not me. He soon hung up

Looking for credit card details for some made up false advert (Scam call) reported by


They ring you up stating that they spoke to you on a few previous occasions and that your advert was going to press so obviously needing payment details. I never spoke to these guys before and when I asked they a few questions about their organisation they were not able to give accurate information as per my real time google search. Also the same experiences as the comments below. My advise JUST HANG UP.

Identical to details below - Apparently I'd placed an order in January to advertise. £400. My call had been recorded allegedly. When I told him he was mistaken and I wouldn't be paying he threatened legal action which I ignored. He called back today to ask for reduced payment of £299 and when I told him there was no deal he suddenly called me a "f@$&ing ball bag!". Haven't laughed so much in a while but he is an unpleasant little ned nevertheless.

Young man, north-country accent, tried to tell me I had booked and advert in a community magazine. When challenged, he claimed he had an audio recording of me agreeing to the said advert in a local issue ! I said I had not agreed to any ad with them nor would do so. After he tried to push me to agree several times, I told him to stop and I would report him to the police. Conversation ended with him saying "I will take you out for a meal, if that's what it takes ! ". He was laughing with someone else in the background, he then rang off. I reported this to police, & Trading Standards will be informed by Consumer Direct in due course.

Told me I had booked advertising with them in The Community Magazine in January and it was now ready to send over. Told them I hadn't and he said he could play me my verbal agreement. Again I told them I hadn't and he got rude and said I had. Just out the phone down and they didn't ring again

Started by same as below - telling me I'd agreed to some advertising in a 'Community Magazine' ....Told me he'd met me on 'the train' and I'd given him my card. He knew what work I do. Maybe from other ads or websites? Then started telling me he thought I was 'hot' and wanted to take me on a date.... Just though he was a weirdo then googled the phone number in case..and found all this.

Told me I'd agreed to some advertising a few months back and now the 'Community Magazine' was ready for distribution so I had to pay up. I was advised that they had audio recordings of me agreeing to the advertising. When challenged about the magazine, distribution, organisation etc, his responses were poorly constructed and on occasion quite aggressive.
