HSBC had blocked card - told me parts of the details they held I had to fill in blanks. Then they told me some payments which I'd tried to make and asked for confirmation they were genuine. Unblocked card right after. Only HSBC would have been able to unblock the card ...

Answered the call and saying it is hsbc need to verify my identity first and for fraud precaution purpose. Tried to be cautious so did not provide anything, then the guy asked me to call HSBC directly or go to the branch. So i hanged up and called HSBC using the number on the back of my bank card, turns out it was legit. My card has been copied so they had to cancel my card immediately and send me a new one. You would want to answer this call but ill always call back HSBC directly just to be safe.

Missed call from this number and voicemail asked me to contact HSBC. Called using the contact number on the back of my card as a precaution but HSBC confirmed they had called for fraud prevention purposes. Important to call back, use tel number on the back of your card as precaution.
