Missed call. Called back and they asked me for bank details. At which point I realised that I hadn't checked the phone number so I went online to get actual co-op bank number and they confirmed that there were no issued with my account and no one from the co-op bank had tried to call me. Don't give them your details.

I received a missed call (wouldnt answer) a couple of days ago, after Coop texted to say I'd missed a payment on credit card. I called Co-op and sorted payment but didnt query the phone call. this morning I made a purchase on credit card and this number tried to call me again an hour or so later. I called co-op on normal number and credit card dept said they had not called me and it wasnt their number. This is very worrying - are the staff confused or does a scammer somehow know I am with co-op and made a purchase? I have blocked the number.

Wanted to ask a few security questions to access my account. I said why? "If you answer the security questions I can tell you" No! HANG UP! Firstly they couldn't pronounce my name. (It's English!) The caller was English too. Told me I can ring co-op bank, but who knows if they intercept the calls anyway? They can, seen it on TV. DO NOT ANSWER ANY OF THEIR QUESTIONS, IT'S A SCAMMER.
