Caller reported fraudulent activity on my Co-Op account and wanted to verify my identity, but I don't have an account with Co-Op, and never have. Definitely a scammer at work.

Scamm call impersonating co-op fraud dept. (Scam call) reported by Jo F
I was called repeatedly on this number and only answered after I had ascertained online that it was a co-op fraud department number. The scammers told me fraudulent activity had been detected on my card and wanted to verify that it was not me making the payments. They then asked me various security questions to confirm my identity which they used to get into my account and make fraudulent transfers. They were extremely plausible and very sophisticated.

I've had a secure message from Smile confirming that this is the Smile/Co-operative Bank fraud team number. I have pointed out to them that the number is not adverstised, so customers are justified in being suspicious. Ringing back on an advertised number is the safe option.

very convincing e mail scam with correct customer name asking to call the fraud dept on this number. This is not the CO OP bank fraud number.

Call made to me as I made some transaction on a us website, was worried at first but only as for two number of my pin, but asked for my full account details which worried me, but know all my transactions for that week etc. they were great gave me advice on checking for scam websites and were worried that I might be almost scammed. good work coop bank

Coop Bank fraud department - this is genuine (Financial services) reported by AB
After answering a few automated questions I was automatically put through to this number and spoke to a lady in the fraud department. This is genuine and helped me to get a card blocked that I wasn't aware had been stolen.

This number is the Co-op Bank fraud check number - they were just checking a cancelled card transaction. I called back on the main bank number I usually use and confirmed with them that this number was a real number.

This is the number for the Co-op bank (or Smile) fraud department. If you're not sure, ring back on the bank's main number and they'll put you through to the fraud dept.

I received a voicemail message from the Co-operative Bank to ring this number for a security check on my account. I rang the Co-op helpline and they confirmed that there was an issue on the account. So I guess that this number is ok although personally I would always use the published numbers rather than reply to one given over a phone message.

I was a little suspicious when I received a voicemail message from the Co-operative Bank telling me to ring this number as there was some unusual activity on my account, so I waited till the next day & phoned the bank's help number on the official website. It turned out that the call had been genuine & I was able to sort out the discrepancy with the bank. This is definitely NOT a scam number!

This number came in an email purportedly from the Co-op bank saying I needed to call it to discuss activity on my account. I do not have a Co-op bank account and the number is different to Co-op's official number. Definitely a scam, do not answer!
