Virgin media retention service called. I canceled my contract the previous day after 12 months. At first, they offered me no special deal so I canceled my contract and told them I was switching to sky. Today I have got my bill down from £77 to £41 with extra channels, fast internet and multiroom. Still haven t decided on signing up, I will wait another few days to see what else they will offer.

A retention rep called, but I refused to confirm my personal details and we ended the call. Having been a loyal customer with Virgin for more than 15 years, I finally ended my contract yesterday after much wrangling - they didn't want me to go. I was offered the same package at half price for 18 months - too little too late I'm afraid. I've had intermittent signal interference on my TV for over a year now and Virgin promised to fix it but failed as the problem is worsening. I did try to get better deals, but they always pushed for upgrading what I had and I always ended up paying more. If they had looked after me better I wouldn't be switching to SKY.

Virgin media calling back to offer better deal after I gave my notice period

It's Virgin Media offering deals. It must be because I cancelled a few days ago. Why didn't they offer a deal during the original retentions call instead of playing silly beggars? I already told them I had a better offer from another company and yet they said the best they could do was an offer that was higher than their rival. Ludicrous! They need to retrain some of their Retentions Department workers (in partiucular the woman that I spoke to). Don't try it on with people that are clued up. I cancelled forever and will not be returning.
