Genuine helpful service call from our bank (Financial services) reported by


Receiving this call, initially I was a little suspicious, but I very soon realised that it was a genuine call from Natwest by a very helpful lady. It was a very helpful call offering their services to ensure we were happy with our accounts and as to how they were running. Not once was I asked any question that would lead to me revealing anything, in fact she provided all the in depth details that only they would know. She actually told me of details with was information that nobody else would know other than our usual bank. She also offered a recently new free service that would be helpful to us that we'd actually seen details of in branch this week. Part the way through the conversation, my wife remembered the lady as being somebody we'd actually dealt with in person a little whole ago at our main branch. So a genuine call and nothing suspicious about it whatsoever.

Received a call from a human claiming to be from Natwest and they said that they call there customers on Saturdays. This has never happened to me prior to this call in over 10 years of an active account. This was an unsolicited call. The lady claimed she was calling from another branch local to mine, and when I said that I don't bank in the area she was calling from she suggested that I did have a bank account in that area. Which is incorrect. If a bank can get any part of your profile wrong it's not worth talking to them. I hung up after they lied/made their mistake. Also my bank is closed on Saturdays. I would not trust this number.

Didn't answer the call. This number has phoned me 3 times recently but never left a voicemail, text message or email. If it was genuinely Natwest, then why not do one of these options?! I will continue to ignore these calls as obviously not important and potentially spam.

Caller was from Natwest offering to schedule in a Zoom meeting for an account review, as they are not doing reviews in the branches at the moment. Called Natwest on the support number from their website to check it was legitimate, and they said it was.

I received the call from a lady claiming to be from Natwest. She asked for my email address so that they could organise an appointment time to talk over my financial details etc. I thought it sounded suspicious so I called the official Natwest fraud number just to be safe and they confirmed that the appointment and call were OFFICIAL and that they were receiving similar calls from many people and that it is nothing to worry about

My bank newer call to me without reason. (Scam call) reported by


The lady on that number called me saying she is from Natwest in Edmonton but it is not possible. Firstly, my bank does not call me for no reason. Secondly, my bank is located elsewhere and I also live elsewhere. When the lady asked me to confirm my details, I said that I did not know this number, my brunch is elsewhere and they contact me always by email never by phone and I will personally report to the bank.

NatWest, Local branch, This was actually a legit call - doing an annual review on accounts and asking if I needed any information about management of money etc. I did question if it was a scam, but she was obviously local, and did work at the bank. I declined their assistance, but it was just a 'courtesy' call offering advice and not necessarily selling their products.

They seemed to know my exact bank balance, name and sent me an email right after the call. The email after examining the header(I'm a programmer) seemed to be part of the RBS.co.uk domain. This to me shows legitimacy. They didn't ask me for any details, bank numbers or other personal information. Only strange thing is that they didn't double check to see who I am who they think it is.

Rang and I called back. A lady from a Romford number called back. She didn't seem to know what to ask me for I'd etc. Rang fraud dept. They said never answer first call always ring bank by you own number for them. They rang again after a few days. If you answer when it first rings it it the scammers/fraudsters. But if you ring the number back it is actually Nat West.

Claimed to be Natwest, I said "obviously I won't believe you're Natwest without proof" and she sounded annoyed and said I could do a Zoom if needed(?!). She started saying they could see I had an X account (she had no idea I was who I said I was either) and wanted to upgrade my account for a mere £48 a year. I hung up, called Natwest fraud dept who confirmed it was not Natwest, so to the people thinking it is, I promise it isn't. He said this number is linked to people being conned into doing transfers into a scammer's account.

It's Natwest bank, which is who they claim to be. I opened a new account two weeks ago and this is the only company i have ever given my number to, they just wanted to offer me additional bank upgrades. Bit annoyed as i did opt out of receiving calls via telephone from them, but it's them.

It's NatWest. Anyone who thinks NatWest don't cold call their customers is deluded. It is not a scam. They are just all bored at home during the pandemic and cold calling customers. A quick Google will lead you to stories about this.

This number called me and said from Natwest, sounded very friendly and professional, took my email address and said an advisor will call me next week and they will send an email before to say what the call will be about. I called natwest via the app and got through to their fraud team, they chacked the call log on my account and no one from Natwest had called me and they confirmed the number isn't theirs and they never cold call for appointments with advisors. They told me not to click any link in the email and delete it and not to answer the call.

Natwest mortgage advice call

I had a similar thing to this after getting an offer in principle from Natwest. The same guy called several times from a withheld number, then from this number. They sent a text with a link too.

Received a call on my mobile from this number claiming to be from Natwest Eastbourne. It annoyed me because I only gave NW my number for use as a security level with my online banking. Phoned up Natwest on their real number to complain and they have no record of this number being one of theirs.

A lady called to do a financial health check but was very dismissive when I requested further proof that she was calling from NatWest. Suggested to call back the number that I see in the display to verify, which is clearly scamming behaviour to trick you into believing the scam. Said I would call them if I need anything and hung up.
